Amnesia Haze is a tightrope walking, neo-balanced, androgynous IPA, melding styles and flavors from coast to coast in one glass. The carnival of aromas swing back and forth between over-ripe fruit and freshly harvested Mary Jane. As the nose of this beer bellows out like a Ringmaster calling hops to the main stage, the flavors quickly follow suit in similar character. The dank pot-like notes blend evenly with the fresh fruit juiciness making it equal parts refreshing and resinous. The malt profile is more substantial than our typical Fieldwork IPA, but remains extremely dry, leaving a base for these hops that both stays out of their way, yet also accentuates their fruity nature.

Can @ ZZT 2016-1. Aroma has grass, nettle and haze. Taste of grassy fresh hops, nettle, mild pine and herbs. Decent, but I like ’em a bit less herbal.

Thank you Benzai! 32 oz. crowler sampled @ ZZT 2016-1. Clear orange, little white. Nose is thick citrus UA hops, green grass, oily, low yeast, not bad. Taste is a bit weak & bland, basic oily hop, zest, green grass, faintly dank,… Also a bit thin & rather watery. Okay but there are definitely better IPA’s out there.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear golden color with an off white head. The aroma is super strong with marijuana, a little green onion, herbals and a hint of pine. Dank as all get out. The flavor is the same. Tons of marijuana and not as much onion as the aroma thankfully. Spice and a little pine in the finish. Background notes of toasted bread. Ok. Solid.
