Draft. A dark golden beer with a fast disappearing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of koji, malt, oranges, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, koji, malt, sake, and citrus fruits, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

A coppery beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma is sweet, marmelade and dried fruits, raisins, some berries, not disturbing notes of alcohol. Taste has strong sweetness, caramelly malts, riped fruits and some meat. The taste isn’t so nice as the aroma. Medium+ bodied, easy to drink. The taste is quite strange but the aroma is pretty great.

500 ml. bottle split by two. GUSHER! Dark amber orange with no head. Nose is overripe lightly moldy orange peel, rice, light old medicine, very sweet, candy & sugar, boozy. Taste is quite boozy, lingering alcohol & massive old faintly moldy dried orange peel, low expired medicine, caramel, very sweet. Low carbonation, boozy,… Very one note, quite sweet & massive on vaguely moldy orange peel. This one sounded very odd on paper. It isn’t much of success either in execution. One massive, odd taste, rather difficult to drink. Not too terrible, one massive not overly exciting taste. Seems to me that odd ideas are a bit or miss these days with Nøgne Ø under new management.

We’re not the only ones dealing with this.... indeed. Some kind of monster, a 500ml14 percent thing I found somewhere or the other and God help you I sure’s hope it’s useful in some respect or another. So he asks if I’ve got any work for him coming up this fall.... and like, for me, fall is a lifetime away. "We’ll see," I say, hoping he’ll get the message, seasonal work is always a bitch, I thought he did the summer work because he knew he could fuck off all over winter and no one would give a fuck. But - but- the bass settles in. Lots of flowing head, aroma of hazelnut and maple syrup; the flavour is some mess of hazelnut and lager and some kind of porter. Sure, it sounded like a good idea at the time, but a year or two later it just doesn’t fly sadly. The bass drives in, you wonder what in the hell you’ve got yourself into; and indeed it’s a fine mess, cerebrerally instituted, good stuff here and all around that remind you of where you aren’t. A fourteen percent monster!?! Sure, why the fuck not. More booze, more life, more questions - it’s all good. Until it isn’t.

Tap at HBF2016. Hazy yellow color, not much head to talk about. Sweetish overriped fruits and citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied. Overriped green apple, apricot, grass, alcohol. Omg. Interesting.
