This is a "hybrid" (and not stylish) between an Imp. IPA & Imp. Stout.

Draught. Black colour with a mediumsized brown foamy head. Aroma is quiite zesty with some tropical fruits, chocolate and mild alcohol. Flavour is fruity, some nectary, chocolaty, toasted and mild alcohol and liquorice tones to it. Surprisignly good, even though a bit on the boozy side.

330ml bottle. Poured a clear dark brown, almost black colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is big roasty malt, caramel, floral hops and alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, liqourice, resin, floral dry hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with average to soft carbonation. 3.5 years past the best before date but still 330ml of pure awesomeness!

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately dark malty and resinous hoppy aroma, Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty and resinous hoppy, some caramel; lingering bitter hoppy finish. Full body, oily texture, creamy palate. Very focussed if not over-simplified.

330ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. A decent fawn-coloured head to a hazy dark brown body. Clingy lacing. Roasted dark malty aromas with a chocolate bite. Blended taste of dried fruits, coffee-chocolate and bread. Lingering roasted sweet and bitter finish. Ashy palate. Smooth with fine depth. Pleasant. (Shared with Finn and djoeye, Thanxbeeringparty at PivotekaH7, Tromsø 23.11.2017).

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, medium to full sized quite creamy beige head that lasts for quite a long time and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, dark malts, some dark overripe fruits, a touch of some kind of herb or spice, maybe cardamom, somewhat liquorice-ish. Doesn't appear to be a mix between an IRS and an IIPA imo. In any case it's weird, there's dark malts and there's hops, but it's weird. Gets better after a while though. Didn't like it in the beginning but it definitely got better after a while. Basically up from around 3.2 to 3.8. Not bad.

Draught at KØ17. Fruity aroma. Very dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is sweet and slightly roasted. Good bready finish. Also slightly vinous. Well-balanced.
Bottle, 10%. Good fruity and roasted aroma. Black colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is sweet and fruity. Quite roasted. Sweet but well-balanced. Good body.
