Old rating from Mar 2017 - A 330ml bottle brought home from my Tuscany trip - It pours a clear brown/black colour with a small tan head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, bread, cereals & yeasts. Tastes of caramel, bread, cereals, dark toasted sweet malts, dark fruits & yeast. Soft carbonation, full bodied. Light bitterness with a dry bittersweet finish.

Bottiglia.

Bottle 0,75ltr: Beer label with a woman of loose morals on it, hazy brown coloured with very well hidden but identifiable sourness and good hints of caramel. Not really an German Doppelbock interpretation but more an Dutch micro-brew variation.

(Draught at Birra, Berlin, 14 Aug 2024) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, chocolate and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, liquorice, dark bread and a mild herbal bitterness in a sweetish finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Tasty, harmonious and well balanced. Very nice.

Draught at Lambrate: pours mahogany with off white head. Aroma is caramel malt and some dark fruitiness. Body does not seem too heavy. Taste is sweet, fruity, lightly bitter. Solid.

True to german style. Malty rich and sweet, more that sweet than it should be. But it is well brewed. Not hoppy at all. Lambrate milano
