Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Now this is a curious one. I didn’t write down a lot of information about this one because I figured that I could find enough information about it online as usual but no such luck here. Matthieu Dubrana & Nicolas Scheidt are actually wine producers from Brussels. At “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015” they were offering a beer, so there you have it. I believe that this is a BA beer with Cantillon lambiek added (I asked about that one), 0.5 % only I believe. It might be also a wine & beer blend but I am just speculating here. As to the origin of beer, No Science is my best guess. Very hazy with no head. Nose is sour wild & very funky wine, white grape, lemon, lightly moldy, very rustic & wild. Taste is quite sour, flat old lemon, very funky, white grape, plenty of funk, some oak, spirit almost, hay, funk,… Flat & a touch watery. Very interesting, rustic & wild. Whatever this is.
