The association of citrus fruits such as orange, tangerine and grapefruit with the sweetness of red fruits brings an intense freshness to this dark beer. A very present bitterness characterized by citrus fruits stands out on the palate to give way to an explosive finish.

Bottled. Rubyish black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, some fruits, mild coffee as well as some grassy and herbal notes. Flavour is quite similar, with mild alcohol to it as well. Kind of richly hopped stout, or then a rather loaded Black IPA.

Bottle. thanks Marc Morshuis! Deep dark brown color. Oily roasty, almost vinous citric aroma. Malty sweetish, soft roasty citric flavor. Grassy hops, partly hidden behind the sweetness. Nice, fairly well balanced.

Bouteille (Merci, lac de Constance!): Almost black, presumably hazy, a ruby sheen is nearly invisible, medium-sized and slowly collapsing creamy tanned head almost solid nose of toasted malt and caramel with dried berries and a good dash of herbal-piney hops; solid dry bitter flavour, almost full bodied, pretty soft; lingering dry toasty and fruity and herbal hoppy finish with a mild alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Is it a Stout or a Black IPA? Mais oui, une bière excellente...
