Many thanks for this beer to tderoeck. Harvest 2016. Piekna sniezno biala spora i trwala piana, zlocista barwa, lekko metna, pachnie belgijskim chmielem i zioelona trawa. W smaku lekko slodowe konkretnie chmielne, swieze i przyjemne, delikatne zarazem. Doskonale pasowalo do lososia z surowka pekinska.

Sampled @ Brassigaume 2017. A slightly hazy pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of mild fruity hops, sweet grainy malt, wheat, yeast. Taste of mild citrusy hops, soft sweet grainy malt, easy to drink.

Tap at Delirium Sendai. Pale gold with lace. Dry citrus nose, spicy, interesting. Very dry flavor, just a bit of bread and honey, bitter finish. Good, not really sure if the hops are special though.

Rulles saison (though not explicitly identified as such) made with actual wild hops apparently, from a 75 cl bottle of two years old, bought at Drankencentrale De Moor. Frothy, egg-white, cobweb-lacing, thick and stable head over a hazy straw blonde beer with warm peachy tinge. Aroma of unripe peach, dried apricot, camomile, grass, soap, damp hay, old cloves, some ’cat pee’ initially (skunked effect) but fading quickly, old wrinkled apple peel, ginger, unripe pear, minerals, some potato starch note from the yeast after adding the sediment. Crisp, mildly estery onset, pear and apple peel but no banana isoamylacetate, hint of raw pineapple perhaps, medium strong carbo with a light minerally effect, light and cereally malt body with soft bready edges, only subduedly sweetish, floral and drying, utterly quenching finish, some resinous hop bitterness and retronasal spicy phenols, bit spicy. Lovely beer that held up well (not the slightest sign of oxidation) and has retained much of its ’green’ and rural hop character - though not advertized as one, this is a top notch saison, better than many new saisons that are actually intended as such...

Thnx to ben. Pours. Rather clear blonde, ok white head. Smell is yeasty, minerals. Some hops. Taste is mild honey, some malts. Bit hops. Mild citrussy. Ok bitterness. Simply not that hoppy, so a misguiding name to me. Yet the beer itself is alrightmv
