A festive stout with subtle roast character that plays well with fruity and slightly tart notes from the cranberry. Sorachi Ace hops, which there are plenty of in this beer, gives hints of vanilla and coconut.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Cloudy brown, beige head. Roast, malt, some berry, coffee notes, some spiciness, a bit sourish, ashy, bitter, over-carbonated.

330ml can delivered from the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester and drunk at home on Boxing Day. The colour is strange. Muddy/ruddy brown, opaque with a reddish-tan head. Nice aroma, lots of chocolate the promised cranberry. This is going to taste good... although it really doesn't. There's cranberry and more chocolate in the initial taste, but this fades to a chalky almost acrid bitterness. Thin body with medium to high carbonation. It's passable but I'm not overly keen.

Third by cask, shared with Finn on the third day of GBBF Winter 20, Astbury Bar. Coal black body, patchy surface, dotted spots on the glass. Dark grainy malts on the nose, roasted. Blended taste of berry skins and chocolate malts. Roasted malt-driven end. Satisfying. (Birmingham 06.02.2020).

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a small, tight beige head and good retention. Good lacing. Very dark roasted aroma. Flavor of mostly dark roasts and just a hint of black coffee. I don't taste any of the supposed cranberry. Smooth, dark, dry roast finish. Pretty good, but maybe a little too charred.

Thick beige head over black-brown beer. Roast, bit of ashes, diary, fruit (berries). Fruity character, light roast, thick feel, and fruit/lactic acidity. Quite complex! In the aftertaste I get holly. Really complex, certainly seen its modest ABV!
