Klare rötlich bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, nussig, Karamell. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

On tap @Batzen Hausl (Bolzano). Bruna scura, intensa, schiuma beige media. Al naso note di malti tostati, caffè, nocciola, cioccolato fondente, leggero erbaceo. In bocca è maltata all'attacco, con chiusura caffettosa, amara, a bilanciare. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Buona.

Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass amber coloured, nice head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Spicy notes. Mild bitterness in the background. Shy caramel hints. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A clear dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of mid sweet dark malt, nuts, caramel. Taste of caramelized dark malt, nuts, some bread and chocolate.

Danke Holger! Smooth mild beginning. Easy to drink, dry bitter with not too much sweetness. Very dry, not too deep, dry. Nice fruity, moderate grainy with a dry bitter but roasted neutral finish. Interesting stuff.

Bottle purchased in Bruneck, drunk while watching Altered Carbon. Clear medium brown, moderate head, nutty caramel nose. Nice flavor with a good bit of sweetness, lots of crystal malt flavor, roast notes at the end. Not too complex but a quaffable Dunkles.

Draft at Batzenhäusl, Bolzano, Italy. Pours dark red with nice reflections and good persistent whitish foam, fine. Aroma is light malty and toasted. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is just moderately sweet. Finish is just above average in length.

Das Dunkle aus Südtirol ist ein recht einfaches Bier. Es hat einige gute Aromen nach Röstmalz und Kaffee zu bieten und hinterlässt einen angenehmen Geschmack auf der Zunge. Aber für ein Top-Bier fehlt irgendwie die Tiefe.
