Bottle from DvaDve, Kosice. Amber color with thick off-white head. Nice citrus hops with caramel malt in aroma. Taste, citrus hops with zest, pines. Solid caramel malty backbone. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Tasty.

Bottle @ Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Pours hazy dark amber with a small thick creamy white head. Berries, grapefruit and sweet malts. Caramel. Oily and vinous with a bitter finish. Like a good US Barley Wine.

#5100. 330 ml. bottle. Purchased @ De Hopduvel. Deep dark hazy amber appearance with decent creamy vanishing tanned head. Nose is thick bitter pine resin hops, very big with a light cheesy quality, light dank, cheesy quality starts to dominate a bit as it warms up, malty body is felt, chewy bready quality with a light touch of booze. Taste is big on dry pine resin hops, coats your mouth coupled with dark cheesy hops, faint dank, big bitter dried orange peel, bitterness lingers & gets a light herbal touch in the finish, it doesn’t feel thick or heavy but the malt presence is clear, quite dark bread like, warming, pleasantly boozy even. There are some light toffee & caramel qualities but they are clearly secondary to the other qualities. Carbonation is quite low possibly being a major reason why it doesn’t feel overly heavy. This is pretty much everything that you could want from a big ABV, pleasantly boozy DIPA with a definite malt presence. The alcohol presence is oddly big here but somehow it works giving it a hearty, warming sipper quality.
