Snörkel was brewed with alderwood smoked sea salt and oyster mushrooms takes inspiration from the classic German "Gose" style. Like a traditional Gose, Snörkel is moderate in alcohol and has some acidity, but you won't find the savory, umami flavor of oyster mushrooms in any German version!

Sample at Sour Sunday 2015. Hazy golden with a white head. Quite musty with salt, earth, mushroom and lemon. Also some light notes of paper. Thin and a bit strange.

Bottle shared by the Growler King at the 9th Richmond Rare & Unusual Epic Tasting, Richmond, VA, 11/30/14. Pours a hazy very pale straw color with a large creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bready, doughy malt, spice, herbal, peppery, musty and briny notes. The taste is bright lemon, pale malts, mild funk. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness.

750 ml bottle. Hazy gold with fizzy, fast dying head. Aromas of sea salt, earthy mushroom’s and musty wheat.
Flavor is earthy fungus, elderberry, tart lemons and a blast of sea salt in the finish. I really mean you are going to get slapped with salt in the back side. If the brewer calmed the salt down it would be pretty good. Nice tart and mildly sour, just tone down the salt and this would be real good.

Light and hazy yellow with a 2 finger head that fades fast. Nose is lemon with a touch of light vanilla cake, sea salt and some woody notes. Very light body with a nice texture. It’s tart like fresh fruit some melon and lemon/lime. Crisp and drinkable but a bit too salty for me.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Thanks! Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with an off white head.Tart lemon citrus, some funk, orange juice, and wheat in the nose. Moderately salty. Very refreshing. Dry, slightly smoky, lemon grass, lemon flavor. Juicy. Somewhat tart. Kind of a cool beer.

On tap at Jester King. Pours a cloudy orange with small quickly diminishing head. The aroma is light salt, yeast, wheat. Thin mouthfeel with light salt, tart wheat, light funk. Good. Bottle. Mushroom is more present, dry wheat, more salt. Yes
