From bottle @ Borefts 2015. Dark amber color. Dried fruit and malt in the aroma. Malty sweet caramelly flavor. I can’t really taste the PX sherry, but the beer is nice enough.

Bottle @ ZZT XII. Clear red color, medium sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, sweetish, some kind of liquor. Taste malts, sweet, minerals, lightly iron, again a hint of liquor. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm not very good unfortunately.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark amber to brown colour with a medium sized beige head. Smells iron, rusty, malty, sweet. Tastes iron, rusty, malty, some herbs, watery. I get no sherry or anything. Thin body, low to medium carbo. Lacking body. Carbo isn?t too bad (maybe because I’m drinking from a freshly opened bottle, unlike some people below me? ;p ). Probably the worst Van Moll I?ve had.

THANKS! Bottled sample thanks to a kind soul @ Borefts 2015. Day 1. Hazy amber. Nose is big sugar, oily, warming, touch peach. Taste is unfortunately, dull, feels rather oxidized, sugar, candy, dull sherry,… Close to flat, oxidized dull. Still not getting the praise for this brewery to be honest.

--- Beer merged from original tick of St. Hubertus Sjieke Dubbel on 25 May 2018 at 15:37 - Score: 7

Clear beige beer, small to no head. Aroma: sweet, lots of caramel, banana, ginger bread, some dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of banana, bit spicy, caramel. Aftertaste: bit hoppy, some yeast kicking in, sweet malts and some caramel still lingering in the back.
