Bottle. Pours clear rich amber, small foamy off-white head, malty taste with faint coffee beans taste, high carbonation, medium bitter malty taste with coffee flavor, thin body, long bitter coffee finish. Not bad, but not great either.

Pours a clear golden-yellow, with good-sized head. Aroma is grassy with some hints of coffee. Flavor is mainly coffee, with some hints of grass. Coffee doesn’t really belong in a golden ale--leave it for porters and stouts...

12 ounce bottle from Plum Market, 3/18/16. Hazy orange, thin foamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of strong, sweet coffee and mild citrus. The taste is coffee, chocolate, pale malt. Medium bodied, refreshing, well balanced.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a small white head. It smells of coffee and some mild malt. The flavor is of sweet, bready, pale malt and ample coffee. Medium bodied. Good. Obviously avoid it if you don’t like coffee.

Hazy golden color with generous head. Some aroma of bread and coffee. Lean, dry, clean Pale Ale, it has some bready quality, crisp, light fruity esters, crisper final, and light coffee flavor.

Probably the first time I’ve had a coffee smelling beer that was pale yellow, quite unique. If you closed your eyes, you’d swear it was a coffee black beer laced with pepper. Taste follows the aroma, coffee and some kind of spiced pepper. Yes, not the heat of pepper but the taste of pepper. Not a golden ale, as I know it, fer sure.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/29/2015. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with goof retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big nutty roasted coffee, cocoa, vanilla, cream, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roasted coffee, bready malt, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big nutty roasted coffee, cocoa, vanilla, cream, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, cocoa, vanilla, cream, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice robustness, complexity, and balance of roasted coffee, bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent coffee blonde ale style. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of roasted coffee, bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
