Thanks to tderoeck! 500 ml. bottle sampled @ Sanne’s birthday tasting. Hazy orange, golden, little head. Nose is not bad at all, apfelstrudel, applesauce, light smoke, old candy. Taste is odd, rotting apple, grass, light smoke, malty, rotting apple cider-like, fizzy lemonade, taste is far less extreme than this description sounds, mellow. Lighter, tad fizzy bdoy. So/so, doesn’t really work.

Clear orange beer, irregular white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: apple sauce, orange peel, bit smoky but not much. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, apple skin, apple juice, cider, weird stuff. Aftertaste: apple skin, little hoppy, citrus, bitter ending.

Bottle shared at a sour tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Erzengel for this bottle! Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grains, bread, a bit of fruitiness and a bit of lactic acid. Mildly sourish flavor with graininess, fruits, mild lactic acid and a bitterish grassy finish. Quite light-bodied. Interesting and refreshing.

(bottle) Hazy, deep amber to brown colour with a big and off-white foamy head. Yeasty, apricot-fruity aroma with a lactic touch, backed by caramel and mildly earthy dark malt. Mildly sour and delicately sweet flavour, light bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly earthy dark malty taste with fruity and slightly lactic notes, hints of caramel and shades of spicy hops in the background; dry-ish malty and mildly acidic finish with a mildly dark malty and fruity aftertaste. Fine, fine. 11.X.14

Bottle from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours hazy gold with a 1 finger foamy white head. Aroma is a sour that actually isn’t very appealing. Med minus body. Flavor is ripe stone fruits - like apricot/peach. There’s some lactic, but the flavor is much better than the initial aroma. And that’s the flavor - light stone fruit with mildly lactic sour, doing a minimal barnyard. Finishes that way. It’s actually quite nice.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts malty, light sourish notes, some fruity hints of raisins. More and more earthy-dry. Sourish-malty aftertaste. Okay.

Bottle 500ml. [ As The Monarchy Münchhausen ].Clear medium yellow - amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, sour malt, fruity juice, apple - apple porridge, moderate to light heavy tea. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart fruit, apple, apple porridge. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140328]
