The “refermented” 13 or “black label” is based on the same recipe as 13 “not refermented”. The difference is in the bottling: with the “black label” we let the beer referment in the bottle, which is in itself exceptional for a pilsner beer. So, during this stage natural saturation takes place. The main fermentation is bottom cropping, so here we are still talking about a beer in which the fermentation takes place at a low temperature. This is also an unfiltered, unpasteurised version of 13. Available in 25cl, 33cl (export) and 75cl bottles.

13 Craft Pilsner, brewed by The Ministry of Belgian Beer, Belgian hop; Fläschchen aus fränkisch-belgischem Biertausch - thanks, Jef! Alsdann! (5.12.2024.)

Tap at DOK. Golden orange, clear, with a high, rocky head. Bright, crisp hop nose, grassy, herbal, crackery, awesome. Crisp flavor with a touch of cardboard. Very herbal and very bitter. Well done.

250ml bottle. Barley clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy malty and slightly floral hoppy aroma. Taste is initially grainy malty, turns quick to floral and soapy hoppy with almost sharp and biting bitterness; pure, bodyless bitterness in the finish.
