Oaktoberfest is a true German Märzen bier, brewed with premium imported Pilsner and Vienna malts. It’s spiced with Bavarian hops from the Fatherland, and fermented with the famous Bavarian Augustiner Lager yeast from Munich. We utilized German Hallertauer traditions for both bittering and aroma additions, adding a rich, noble hop presence to this beer.

Bottle pour. Pours a light golden color. Sweet lekon, grassy malt aroma. Really tasty, nice easy drinking beer with a nice well balanced flavor. Would drink this over and over. Good beer here.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sour malt aromas. Crisp with sourdough and biscuit upfront turning to stale, sour malt in the lasting finish.

12 ounce bottle. Light amber color. Big rocky white head. Faint toasted malt aroma. Crisp dry toasted malt flavor. Very straight forward bready malt flavor balanced by spicy hops. Slightly fruity yeast attenuation. Very nicely done. A splendid interpretation of the Marzen style.

Draft at Taste of Tops on 11/7/10. Deep, clear golden color, scant head. Aroma is barely detectable. Taste is slightly bitter, but not much else. Couldn’t finish it, even though it was a 4 ounce sample.

Draft - Lots of grain and a bit of orange. Clear orange with a rich beige head. Grains and bread upfront, with a bit of orange and caramel and grains in the finish. There is a nice bitterness throughout that finishes clean

Draft. From notes. Caramel and bready with a little grassy hop note. Good, but not my favorite.

Straw dominates the aroma. Slight lemon background. Pours an amazingly clear tarnished gold with somewhat full white head that looks a little soapy. Wheat and spice dominate flavor profile. Slightly harsh finish.

A golden marzen with a thin white head. In aroma, light powdery caramel malt with mineral notes. In mouth, a smooth caramel malt with light grassy Saaz hops, mineral notes, no oak detected but nice. On tap at Aces and Ales tenaya.
