First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Pizza Port in Solana Beach, Hop 15 was imagined and designed by Tomme Arthur and Jeff Bagby. It was to be a celebration of 15 years of "Good Beer Brings Good Cheer." So there are 15 different hop varieties that are added to the beer every 15 minutes. Over the years.

Bottle @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Originally rated on 5.2.2010. Great IIPA with a nice aroma. Notes of grass, hops and fruits. 9-3-8-4-16 = 4.0

Big bottle shared with Leif and Skinnyviking at Bishop Arms in Copenhagen. Huge, pillow-like, off-white head. Amber-gold with a slight haze. Inviting aroma of rounded floral hops, hints of caramel sweetness. Fine blended taste of bitter hops and sweet malts, a mix of pine needles, citrus shells and caramel malts leading to a nice lingering bittersweet finish. Great tasting brew, 29.05.2011.

Kurz würzigerm dann stark hopfiger Antrunk, etwas dunkel werdend. Im Mittelteil nimmt die Würzigkeit wieder zu und ist der Hopfigkeit ebenbürtig, dabei wird eine hintergründige Herbe gut verdeckt. Im Abgang wird das Bier schnell milder, zu dem Zeitpunkt wo man nun nichts mehr erwartet schlägt der Hopfen erneut zu. Gerne wieder! Bottle at Brewdog Aberdeen. Pours cloudy orange with a foamy off-white head that thins quickly. Nose; pine, resin, lots of tropical/citrus fruits - oranges, peaches, grapefruit, pineapple, subtle malt. Taste; pine, resin, varnish, tropical citrus fruits, subtle caramel and fairly obvious alcohol. Medium bodied and slightly syrupy. Impressive IPA.

Finally getting around to trying this one, seems every time I get a bottle I end up trading it away. Pours a crystal clear orange amber color with a two finger fluffy white head that dissipates to lace on the glass. Smells of resin and grapefruit, a bit of syrupy caramel in there too. Tastes like drinking hop juice. Overloads the taste buds with bitter resinous pine and citrus.There’s some malt in there somewhere, but it has trouble finding me. Lingering bitterness on the tongue makes you take another sip. Syrupy mouthfeel leaves an almost sticky taste in your mouth. Crisp carbonation, medium to thick in the body. As advertised this is one hoppy beer. I rather enjoyed this, it lives up to the hype.

650 ml bottle. Reddish orange body with a big off-white head. The aroma has a nice caramel malt base in addition to a strong American hop profile with citrus and pine. Flavor is really bitter, sweet caramel malt and fruity. All flavors are rather strong, but there is a certain balance to it and the high alcohol is dangerously well hidden. This is close to a perfect DIPA.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Grapefruit and burned caramel in the aroma. The taste has a very rich hop profile. Notes of orange peel, grapefruit. A bit too strong and one dimensional.
