First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Pizza Port in Solana Beach, Hop 15 was imagined and designed by Tomme Arthur and Jeff Bagby. It was to be a celebration of 15 years of "Good Beer Brings Good Cheer." So there are 15 different hop varieties that are added to the beer every 15 minutes. Over the years.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. MASSIVE hops on a beautiful aroma of citrus and flowers. Incredible even if you could only smell it and not have a sip. Hazy deep honey with great full white head and nice lacing. Flavor of citrus and earth floor follow through in a well-balanced beer with bitterness, malt and hop flavor marrie well.

$7.99 for a 22 oz. bottle @Table and Vine. Stamp on neck reads 1/26/2012 in yellow lettering. Label states 10% ABV. Deep yellow gold color with lots of sediment particles in a slow poor. Soapy, web like lacing. Sweet malt and citrus hops nose. An explosion of hops flavors. Pick your hops combinations here because depending on the age and storage, you can run through the whole gambit here. Does this beer have complexity?? Yes, without question. A lingering, lasting bitterness that still leaves you with a fruit note at the backend. For my personal palate, it’s a bit too bitter. A very nice DIPA, up there with Hopslam and Dreadnaught

Shared a 22oz bottle of this. Poured a clear copper color with a thick, fluffy off-white head. Aroma was piney citrus, with notes of grass and a touch of biscuit and caramel. Flavor was pretty darn tasty and I’m shocked that the beer was 11% abv.

6 cl bottle with my usual Tasting Group in Athens. Hazy orange color, small white head, that quickly faints. Very fresh aromatic hop aroma of citric fruits, peaches and some pine. Flavor has some cramel malts but is domianted by fruity hops. It leads to a drx rather bitter finish. nice one.

Bottle @ Uni bar, Århus. Pours golden with a nice sized white head. Aroma of bready malt, caramel, fruity hops, citruss, pine. Taste is malt, caramel, licorice, peach and other tropical fruit, oranges, grapefruit, piney hops. Medium body, soft carbonation, great balance with a lasting bitter finish, good drinkability. Lovely IIPA.151011

Bright, hazy orange colour with no head. Smells hoppy grapefruit + something sweet, weird - also some plastic. Tastes super bitter, fruity, alcohol and wood. Long bitter aftertaste. Carbo is on the edge.

Bottle: Orangey-golden, hazy, floaties visible, big stable rocky off-white head, a whole bunch of hops in the nose: resiny - grapefruity - piney - citrussy aromas, combined with a pretty solid caramelly background; moderate to solid dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, astonishingly soft; dominant citrussy-hoppy finish with fruity and vinous flavours. Great stuff.......

0.65l bottle shared with ClubGonzo and the rest of Bergen Tasting Crew. This one pours a really cloudy heavily unfiltered deep orange body packed with sediments and a small sidesticking bubbly off-white head. Aroma is intense hopy, intensified caramel-sweet, some notes of grass and hints of licorice perhaps?. Full-bodied, average to soft carbonation and it has a thick and oily mouthfeel. Stingy and bitter flavors. Lots and lots of grass and stingy piny hops. Also some sweet fruity notes and it ends nice and warming with some licorice-like flavors in the aftertaste. Really solid stuff.
