500 ml fliptop from Total Wine in San Jose, CA. (Stevens Creek) Pours light, translucent copper with a white head. Lightly roasty malt aroma - German aroma - not APA. Med body or so. Flavor is the malt and a touch of citrus (mild), floral and grass. Arguably towards dry; lightly bitter; flavor that's moderately strong. Decent marzen.

Pig’s Ear Fest. Bottleshare thanks to Ian. Bright clear gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Clean pale malts, light creamy sweetness. Light nuttyness in the malts. Smooth semi sweet floralness. Very mild citrus into modest dried fruits. Trace of spice. Light dry finish. Typically German clean but a little staid.

0.5 l bottle from local ’Trinkgut’, best before February 2017. Clear, golden amber with a thin, dense, stable, white head. Grassy, slightly fruity and a bit floral aroma of straw, some citrus and a touch grains. Slightly sweetish, moderately fruity-grassy and a bit floral taste of straw, grains, some citrus and hints of honey, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately grassy finish. Medium body, smooth and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Drinkable, not really fantastic, not sure how old that bottle already is though.

Bottle at Pigs Ear 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours perfectly clear golden yellow with a creamy, pure white head. Sweet cereal and pale bread in the nose. Light sweet flavour with more cereal, simple sugar, faint citrus, straw. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finaihes fairly dry, with licks of paper, crispy cereal, straw, pale grains. So so.
