Slightly hazy orange amber with a small lingering off white head. Strong citrus and pine nose with some light caramel and honey. Light toffee sweetness under a big bitterness of citrus and tropical fruits. Floral hints rise as it warms. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation and a long lingering bitter finish. True to the style.

22oz fresh bomber from Youri Levesque drunk 10/18/15.
Light amber liquid shows very little carbonation building a small white head that is poorly retained. Very clear, nothing on the bottom. Uh oh, seems rather filtered/force carbonated.
The nose contains dank, deep forest-like hop notes pitted against more aggressive grapefruit and pine. Caramel and vanilla in the background show a bit more use of non-pale malts than I’d prefer (ie. any use at all). No alcohol or flaw.
Sure enough, a rather lazy, loose carbonation in the mouth, with a bit too much sweetness, dry toffee and almost sourdough-like maltiness clashing with the resinous, pine and grapefruit laden hoppiness. Iced tea-like flavors and even a passing bit of metal? Doughy yeast notes do not seem fresh or charming here. Caramel, grapefruit, resin. End. Hey Pit Caribou, 2004 called, it wants its IPA back....

Bottle at a tasting. Really good classic IPA. All about the hops, intense, juicy, tasty.

650 ml bottle shared by Cuso at Bratislava Tasting, thanks!
Amber, hazy body, with a quite small, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, pine, resin, orange zest, some biscuit.
Taste follows this, with a pretty strong, dry bitterness.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes very bitter, very dry, zesty, a bit piney, a bit herbal.

Nice one. Lots of fruity hops, but too bitter and dry for me. I prefer it more balanced. Still a very characterful IPA.

Bottle at THT. Orange golden with white head. Caramel, sweet malts, lime peel, light yoghurt, chicory, light spices, orange. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with quite some carbonation. Decent but a bit too sweet.
