Thanks! Sampled draft @ 20ste Zomerbierfestival. Sold as “Limited Edition 2015.” Deep dark wooden brown, light red hue,.. creamy light tanned solid head. Nose is very syrupy dark fruit, thick herbal, overripe fruity, light molasses,… Taste is lightly boozy, thick syrupy, dark fruits, cooked prunes, light molasses, liquorish, light varnish, candy, big raisin,… Very big thick syrup body,.. A bit clichéd but decent & not bad. I was somewhat hoping for an attempt at a Black Duvel-like beer but this isn’t that, too bad.

From tap at Oostendse Bierjutterij. Limitedly produced dark equivalent of the famous Lucifer, with cream white, dense, moussy, stable head and clear bronze colour with copperish hue. Aroma of caramel, raisins, dried leaves, dried banana, walnuts, liquorice. Restrainedly sweet onset of dried fruits, raisin and baked banana, medium carbo, smooth and slightly resiny mouthfeel, caramelly and very nutty malt background, toasted, with a finish of mild leafy, earthy hop bitterness and a hint of warming, gin-like alcohol. Nice and well balanced.

Something very odd going on in the aroma here. Almost meaty. Lots of caramel and booze. Kind of a mess. Light florals. Light sweet finish. Syrupy consistency. Not my thing. Tap at Churchkey.
