750 ml. bottle sampled @ 20ste Zomerbierfestival. This beer is the answer to the Waterloo series of beers – these being “offensive” to Napoleon admirers in France & Wallonia (where these sympathizers are less common I believe). This beer celebrates the 3 French “victories” by Napoleon in Fleurus. Commissioned by a Belgian company Bouchons Leclercq in Fleurus which is the largest producer of corks in Belgium. I find the whole to be rather odd personally. As for the beer itself,… Hazy golden, small white head. Nose is oddly sweet, chemical & lime sweet, far too sugary,… Taste is odd fizzy, very sweet in a big perfume, strongly artificial way, chemical, sugar overkill, malt, white sugar,.. Fizzy,… Odd, far too sweet,… Not much of a fan.
