Flaska från Beer Bazaar Mekane Yehuda, Jerusalem. Stiltypiskt utseende men väl lågt skum. Doft av jäst, vete, deg, lite nejlika, grön banan. Ganska frisk, torr och lätt för stilen men också lite tunn. Ok.

“An off-tasting moldy, watery, sourish, cabbage-tasting & unpleasantly mineral wheat beer.” 330 ml. bottle sampled @ home. Obtained in the big Israeli trade. Back of the bottle says 01/2015 but I have no idea as to whether that is the BBF or bottled on date. Hazy orange, light amber, small off-white bubbles. Nose is sweet light metallic, touch lactic wheat, light candy sugar,… smell is light. Taste is lactic mineral, sourish wheat, very moldy lactic, fizzy taste, cabbage, cooked vegetables, mineral water in a bad way, lots of moldy yeast, sour cooked excessive old yeast,.. Thin, watery, fizzy, faintly metallic,… This is very poor, age might be an issue here but this are all issues that might have been aggravated by age but simple age won’t create something like this. Very poor.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of ThreeCats. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a white head. Yeasty, phenollic aroma - but lacking the banana esters completely. Medium body, heavy carbonation, a little caramel, yeast and phenols. Not really up to style! 220413

Draught sample, small stable creamy head, hazy lightish lomony yellow colour, strong aroma of apricot, peach and rose petals, with spice in the back, flavour of wheat and bublegum with touches of spice and rose petals, quite tart with a light bitterness. Original and extremely refreshing.

Re-rate 2/19: Hazy yellow, big white head. Phenolic spiciness, yeast, minerals, some fruitiness, citrus, sweetish, bread, bitter finish. Similar to my previous experience with the beer. 5/4/5/3/10=2.7

Draught sample at Beers 2012 exhibition in Tel Aviv. Cloudy golden. Orange color with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, mild fruity esters and light bready notes. Sweetish fruity flavor with a drier finish with light bitterness. Light to medium-bodied. The bitterness doesn’t work so good here and esters aren’t dominant enough - still kinda OK. 5/4/5/3/10=2.7
