Ingredients: hill country well water, malted barley, malted rye, hops, farmhouse, yeast, native yeast and souring bacteria from the Texas hill country.
Admin Note: In November 2013 Jester King began brewing this beer using indigenous wild yeast and souring bacteria. All bottles from Batch 9 onward should be under this rating.
Last time released was Batch 19 in spring of 2020.

Guess that the split the batches. Pours a golden hue with a large white head. A big funky citrus nose. Clear spicy rye, fluffy palate, some funky tart lemon. Very smooth, good palate.

750ml bottle pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is funky notes some rye hop notes. Taste is more of the nice light tart funk a d citrus hops.
A hazed blonde ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, herbaceous character, light mineral notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice herbaceous malt with resinous floral hops, white grapefruit, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. 8-3-8-3-14

Bottle from Crafty Bottle Lincoln. Batch 16 and 6%. Hazy rich golden colour with a thick foamy white head. Citrus and floral aroma with a touch if pine. Taste light sweet sour and light bitter to finish.

Pours a cloudy brownish-orange color with a medium thick frothy white head that dissipates gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tropical fruit, funky yeast and rye malt. The finish is mildly sour fruit and spiced rye malt. Pretty good all around.

[2/1/16] Draught at City Beer in San Francisco. Cloudy golden. Spicy aroma, soapy, hoppy, with funk, rye and some fruitiness. Dry bitter flavor, hoppy, spicy, soapy, fruity, with some rye. Medium-bodied.

Shared 25.4 oz. bottle. Apple juice color, and hazy, with a large white meringue-like head. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, rye. Taste follows, with some hop bitterness, and a lightly sour finish. Less farmhouse traits than expected. Decent.

Draught, smallish head, cloudy lightish orange color, aroma of ripe citrus, mainly grapefruit, some tropical fruit and a hint of funk, fruity flavor with just a hint of funk and an empathic medium bitterness, nicely balanced. Very good original IPA.

Bottled. Cloudy orange-brown, huge head. Peppery guava aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Hay, guava, caramel and bread. Long bitter finish.

On tap at Jester King. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit, funk, orange peel. Medium mouth, bitter hop bite, earth, citrus, very nice.
