One of the Carnage IPAs, collaborations between To Öl and Buxton. Beautiful deep amber coloured beer, clear with quiet sparkles here and there, under a medium sized, moussy, slightly lacing, quickly breaking but otherwise stable, pale egg-white head. Strong citrus hops aroma; freshly squeezed orange juice, tangelo, grapefruit peel, pine resin, fresh pineapple, acacia honey, vanilla, peach, hints of almond, freshly grated ginger, cognac and minerals. Sweet but well-rounded, fruity onset, lots of exotic and other sweet fruits, clear citrus fraîcheur, soft carbo resulting in a somewhat ’thin’ but slightly oily, supple mouthfeel, lovely caramelly and lightly nutty malt sweetness, early aromatic and bittering hop presence increasing in the end, rounding off with a strong citrussy, floral, piney retronasal ’hoppiness’ as well as a deep, quenching, resinous, peppery bitterness. Very well-balanced, appetizing and tasty IPA, complex enough, but could perhaps do with a bit more body.

Bottled from de Molen Beershop, bottled 19/11/14 BB 19/11/15, large sample. Clear amber color, big frothy off-white head. Aroma of some toffee and caramel, grassy hop, bit grapefruit, bit pineapple, slight pine, hint of biscuit, grainy oat. Medium bitterness in taste, slight dry grainy malt. Quite straightforward stuff. Ok.

Bastante buena.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours clear amber with big orangey aroma. Taste is exceedingly crisp, sharp and hoppy with resinous mandarin sticking it’s nose out. Very good DIPA.

Bottle from Hop Leaf at home. 400th rating!!! Appealing glowing golden orange amber pour. Aroma is big juicy tangy hops - pineapple and citrus. Taste is very bitter dank juicy hops - almost exactly like Tuatara's Double Trouble, but more resinous and piney. Has quite a bitter bite at the end. Maybe a bit too resinous but really good nonetheless. Would definitely get again.

At a tasting, at a tasting, quite clear deep gold color, almost no head, aroma od orange blossom, grains and yeast in the back, bready malty flavor with some fruitiness and a flowery bitterness, a bit heavy but still drinkable. Not too exciting.

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Amber colour, beige foam. Medium carbonation. Notes of grapefruit and pine. Very dry and harsh bitter finish. Ok but not my favourite IPA.

Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Orange/golden coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, mild perfumy fruity hoppy nose. Sweet malty, caramel, herbal hoppy, touch of alcohol and mild grassy with bitterish/sweet finish. Really nothing special here.

Bottle@Ølbutikken, Copenhagen - golden amber coloured pour with good sized white head. Aroma and taste is a medley of citrus and tropical fruits, with some prominent mandarin and lemony notes, grapefruit and pine needles, nice hop resin, some herbal and floral nuances going on, medium malty, caramel, great bitter finish. Lovely IPA.
