Golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, coffee. Light coffee flavour, green coffee, malts. Malty finish, quite vegetable, green coffee.

Zeer aangenaam biertje. Wat zoet, aardse aromas door de cascara

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG 2015. Very hazy dark orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, a hint of sweetness, hardly anything else. Drinkable but a bit boring really. Fizzy carbonation as well. Meh.

Bottle from Mok coffee bar in Leuven @ RBBSG 2015. Hazy amber colour, almost no aroma. Lively carbonation Very weak and watery. Bit malt, bit sweet. Some notes of caramel. Coffee? Nothing special.

Thanks to JefVerstraete! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “Hot & Sweaty RBBSG 2015”. BBF 24/09/2018. Very slow gusher. A tad murky & fizzy amber appearance with small white bubbles,… Nose is oddly herbal & vegetable coffee, almost reminiscent of overly vegetable chili,… Taste is glue, vegetable coffee, plastic herbs, vegetable chili, odd & not very pleasant,… Far too vegetable in an unpleasant way,… There is some clear coffee-like thing going on but it is just so vegetable & vegetable chili-like. It is also heavy over-carbonated on top. I googled Cascara & apparently it is used as a laxative – use in the USA was banned in 2002. Seriously a laxative? What gives?

4/VII/15 - 75cl bottle @ RBBSG IV - BB: 24/IX/18 (2015-840) Thanks to JefVerstraete for sharing the bottle!
Clear orange beer, creamy yellow head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very sweet, fruity, sugary, some spices, banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: spicy start, some coffee, not much though, green vegetables, bit yeasty. Aftertaste: sugary, spices, coriander touch, little bitter, fruity, some citrus, alcohol noticeable.
