33cl Bottle from Vonk. Hazy pale golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of melon, kiwi, pineapple, all fruits I really don’t like, clementine/mandarins, leaves. Flavour of citrus, light floral, lime, kiwi, melon, pineapple, dry bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, over - carbonated. Don’t really like it.

On tap @ Arendsnest, sample size. Pale straw/yellow color, hazy. Rocky white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: citrus, light herbs. Retronasal also citrus, light sweet, light funk/brett. Flavor is moderate bitter, moderate sweet, light bretty sourness. Light bodied. Finishes somewhat dry, moderate to full bitter, herbs (no more brett, fortunately). OK, but not remarkable. Doubtful that brett was intentional

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG 2015. Hazy pale yellow color, average sized white head. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly citrussy, lightly hops. Taste malts, citrus, nicely hoppy, slightly floral and a nice light bitter touch. Nice easy drinkable sessionable beer. Quite nice.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy pale yellow colour with a small white head. Smells herbs, some hops, slightly grassy. Something’s off in the smell but i cant put my finger on it. Tastes hops, fresh, wheat ale. Could use a bit more freshness and/or some extra hops. Certainly not bad, but i’d rather have a Khoppig. Thin to medium body, nice carbo.

Thanks to Benzai! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Hot & Sweaty RBBSG 2015”. Hazy orange, little white,… Nose is too big on sourness from the wheat, aspirin, tad astringent sour wheat, faint lemon,…. Taste is same sour wheat, tad astringent sour, lemon, tad barn, light fruits,… Sour wheat, somewhat artificial tasting,…. This is too big on a kind of wheat sourness that I do care for personally.

4/VII/15 - 33cl bottle @ RBBSG IV - BB: III/2016 (2015-837) Thanks to Benzai for sharing the bottle!
Cloudy beige beer, small irregular white head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: fruity, sweet, yeast, bit meaty, some peach. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: yeasty start, bit sourish, wheat, funky touch, more yeast. Aftertaste: bitter touch, yeast, wheat, fruity, banana, grassy bitterness. Definitely one of the better Berghoeves I've had.
