With fresh upfront hop aromas and zesty summer fruit flavours, our XPA is sure to please. Extra pale in appearance, it has light bitterness balanced with subtle malt. Brewed for maximum refreshment and drinkability.

Hops: Azacca, Vic Secret and Ekuanot

330ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, juicy grapefruit, pineapple citrus, light dry pepper spice, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Pint on tap at Beer Deluxe, Barangaroo. Malty umami nose, a little hoppy freshness in there. Golden amber beer with a thin white head. Slight haze, very occasional bubble. Solid lacing, slight fizz. Lots of caramel first up, becomes cleaner and greener later. Lingering finish is sweet with herbal/aniseed notes. Nice beer, but still I ask 'What is an XPA?'

Can. Pale orange, hazy. White head fades so as to leave a coat less an X. Perhaps that's what an XPA is. Aroma of marmalade citrus, light bread, some mango. pineapple. Light bodied, highish carbonation. Tastes much as it smells. Not that sweet but finish doesn't quite snap - wanted to be a tad drier at the end?
