Bottle. Black with a tan head that fades fairly fast. Aroma is roasty with mocha, blackberries, oak, (a little) whisky, pine, tar. Far from heavy and very silky texture but quite a bit of overt alcohol. Lots of chocolate but less fudgy than suggested by the aroma. Not all that sweet with a firmly bitter and oaky finish. Right up to (but not over) my limit on the oak. A lot to like here but the unintegrated alcohol detracts a little.

GABS Auckland 2018. Pours black. Whisky, chocolate, roast, strong dark fruit, a boozy port thing, some cherry. Body a bit lacking compared to the original. Good.
