Limited edition (4000 bottles) of Dochter van de Korenaar’s IPA made only for Belgoklubben (and only sold by them) in Sweden; differs from the regular version only in the fact that the brewing water for this one was adapted specifically to the beer, a practice the brewery now applies to all of their beers, apparently. Thanks to tderoeck for sharing! Off-white, medium thick, mousy, lightly lacing head, misty pale orange-tinged peach blonde robe. Aroma of moldy old oranges, pink grapefruit peel, pumpkin flesh, pumpernickel bread, peanuts, herb cheese, melting butter, caramel, wet white pepper, cooked sweet potatoes. Fruity onset, hints of peach and pineapple, slick body with medium carbonation, bready and lightly biscuity, even somewhat caramelly malt body with very thinly metallic edges, grapefruity finish with spicy but altogether relatively gentle hop bitterness, quite aromatic in a ‘sedate’ kind of way (old orange peel), while fruity, yeasty and malty effects linger. Nice Belgian style IPA, like the regular one – I would not be able to tell them apart except perhaps in a side by side tasting, though.

19/X/19 - 50cl bottle from a trade, shared @ Wim VL's Stoofvlees Tasting, BB: n/a - (2019-1744)
Clear orange beer, big creamy yellow head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, bit of honey, caramel, fruity, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, malty, some oatmeal, soft bitterness, orange peel, little soapy. Aftertaste: dry, bit fruity, herbal, pleasant, bit soapy, soft bitterness, bit oxidized, but has aged quite well!
