White Oak is an equal blend of two beers. A wheat-wine aged in Bourbon barrels (we call it "White Oak Sap") and our Belgian-style Golden Strong Ale (Mischief) join each other in a delicate dance of flavor and character before we package the final product. White Oak showcases vivid caramel, coconut and vanilla flavors blanketed in a crisp yet robust wheat ale. A true exercise of balance.

Bottle 750ml.Unclear - hazy matt medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, oxidide, coconut, wood, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120202]

orange brumeuse, blanche arôme et goût, pétale de noix de coco, léger caramel donne une note prononcée de butterscotch. qcq notes de houblon et de miel, aspect wheat-wine est agréable, palais est sec, fruité et l’ajout de noix de coco avec un peu de vanille venant du fût de bourbon apporte à cette bière une toute autre dimension.

Appearance: Pours hazy straw color with a nice fluffy white head and a nice amount of lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Bourbon, oak and slightly tart fruit
Taste: Oaky with some tart fruits and sweet malts

bottle on the bus to Tampa, pours hazy orange with a creamy white head. Vanilla, wheat, and light bourbon nose. Wow, the barrel character is awesome. Lots of bourbon and oak with a solid sweet barley wine in there!

750ml bottle at the DC local tasting. Pours a hazy yellow with a thin, bubbly white head. Aroma is vanilla, butterscotch, plenty of oak. Flavor has plenty of oak as well, vanilla, sweet ice cream, grass, lemon sorbet. Heavy carbonation and mouthfeel.

75 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry phenolic, mild fruity and light peppery. Smooth fruity, light wooden and light phenolic. Mild bourbon like note. Dry and phenolic flavoured finish. Dry and lasting lingering fruity note into the far finish.
