Fast receding off-white head over copperish-orange, coldhazed beer. Rainwater, parsley, caramel dissolved in plenty water. Caramel and parsley again, faint sweetness as in a wet biscuit; balance coming from the... carbonation. Very watery indeed... mineral, sparkling water with a bit of caramel/maltsyrup. Ultra-light body, I can hardly accept the announced 5.6% ABV. That it is made with cararedmalt, is easier to believe. Interesting to try - once. Txs, Stef!

500 ml. bottle @ home. Top of the bottle is pyramid shaped, really reminds me of some other beer but nothing pops into my head. Procured from Anna-Maria in Antwerp. BBF 07/06/2014. It looks pretty classy & interesting and the glass itself has a picture of an eagle holding a crown imprinted. Tours a touch reddish amber candy, bubbly head is quickly gone. For the time it is there, it is off-white / milky very light beige. Smells like apple syrup & cheap candy sugar, sticky biscuit, overripe raisins, slight metallic note as if suggesting a lager as opposed to an actual metallic smell. Taste is apple, cheap chewing gum, cheap candy sugar, raisins, simple cheap sugary, bread, oily, lots of biscuit, butter cookies, energy drink, mettalic lager touch. This really feels like a lager & not an ale to me. Body is oily, lighter, lager feel. Slightly watery. Not very exiting & simple but not bad at all & at least it isn’t a pale lager. It is certainly far more enjoyable than the ratings indicate here. I just cannot believe that this isn’t a lager. I found another example of the non-existent Scottish Ale (?) style.

Bottle, small stable creamy light mocha head, clear copper colour, aroma of bread, caramel and scented honey, flavour of caramel and honey with a hint of dried apricots in the back, medium sweetnes and light bitterness. Drinkable but not exciting.

Bottle. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of rather sugary malt, caramel, some toastiness and faint fruitiness. Rather sweet flavor, malty, caramelly, somewhat sugary, with a touch of toast and a light fruity note. Light to medium-bodied, kinda thin. Drinkable, but simple, dull and too sugary.

BB 03.2014, 0,5 bottle. Pours amber-red with average white head. The head dissapears after some moments. Aroma is sweet and caramel. Taste: sweetness, caramel, sourness, some metallic taste. Strong sourness and faint sweetness in finish, also noticeable alcohol (and it’s only 5,6% ?!). Sticky, feels over carbonated, although it’s medium or medium-lively carbonation. Overall: not really something I would drink again.
