Hitch a ride to hop country with this aromatic, sun-packed IPA, the first of our three-part rotator series. With a hop bite like a rattlesnake, this bucking bronco of flavor showcases Simcoe, Mosaic, and Ekuanot.

12oz can thanks to stevoj pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is grassy hops some citrus and a cereal malt. Taste is more of the nice hop combo grassy citrus and a light malt bill.

Bale Breaker Hop Country Session IPA 5.4% 40 IBU Awesome aroma of prickly pear and semi-tropical fruits. Quite full bodied and smooth for a Session IPA. The taste is woodsy resinous pine with little fruity about it. Nicely bitter but sweet enough to balance it out. A well made beer, packaged in June 2019 so about 4 months old.

12 oz can from Safeway. Dark golden pour, small head. Aroma is grassy, hay, musty. Taste features light caramel malts coupled with a small bitter edge. Silky feel.

biscuity malty nose. Grapefruit, lemon, cherry pie mangos. Great depth and the hops shine. Light medium body, prickly carbonation

12 oz can from a six pack, from the grocery store. Aroma starts out with dough, citrus peel, and pine before a nice tropical hop character comes out--guava, passionfruit, some strawberry. Pours mostly clear golden with a two finger bone-white head with good retention. Taste is moderately bitter with hoppy flavors like the aroma descriptors. Has a lingering grapefruit pithy finish. The can says it's a "session IPA," but at 5.4%, not really. It's a really good straightforward IPA in my book.
