32 oz. crowler purchased at Beertopia, Omaha, NE. Darker brown color, some white head that stayed in the snifter. Aroma was a solid amount of coffee bean with light dark fruit. I don’t normally drink fresh barley wine but this kind of works in the flavor.
The mild pine bitterness and light boozy hints mixed with the coffee is interesting. Caramel/ toffee malt base that holds it all together. Different and kind of a conundrum overall. Certainly interesting.

Below is my rather short description for the BA version of this beer. The coffee is minimal, its hardly noticeable until late at the end. In fact the bar I had this at took off the name coffee, even though it was the coffee version, as they didn’t think customer would believe coffee is in there. WTF? Don’t get this, but it was tasty. original rating of the BA fathead - thick malty sweet lots of bourbon oak. Heavy lovely. Big boozy and strong. Every thing I want in a winter warmer

Draft. A- Boozy. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, white head. T- Booze, butterscotch. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, boozy finish. O- Honestly didn’t get much or any coffee. Not bad but it needs a load more coffee. Good but still the worst of the Fathead variants.

On tap at Flying Saucer Anniversary. Pours a cloudy brown with medium off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roast, toffee, candy sugar. Medium body, roast, dark fruit, very boozy, really nice.
