(330ml bottle from Couleurs de Bieres, Montpellier) Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a big off white head lingering with lace. Aroma of multigrain bread, rye?, soft caramel, herbal, pine planks, some fruity citrus and dried fruit, bit of white pepper. Palate slightly sweet and bready, caramel hints, pine and cedar, herbal, moderate peppery phenolics, citrus pith and pine bitterness towards the finish. Finish and aftertaste dry and mineral with a bit of bread and the hop/phenol character. Medium bodied with soft effervescent carb. A bit malty and not as heavily hoppy as the name would suggest, more like a biere de garde. Decent inoffensive lunchtime drinker if nothing spectacular.

At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly head, very cloudy to murky dark orange color, aroma of wood and saison yeast with hints of vanila, lemon and wax, flavor of white fruit, wax, honey and a spicey touch, pleasant medium bitterness, light sweetness,.Nice and simple but quite balanced.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Macx’s place. Thanks Cris. Hazy golden. Aroma of some cardboard, some fruitiness, a spicy note. Slightly sweetish flavor with some fruitiness, some spiciness, and a bitterish finish. Quite light-bodied.

On tap at Supercoin. It pours a deep amber with a juicy orange aroma. Quite a dry finish on it while the taste is orange biscuits and white pepper. Tasty stuff and easy drinking. This hoppy saison also gives me some mint while the finish is fairly dank. Really good.

deep amber brown color. Slightly funky nose with peppers and lemons. Very clean mouth that is much more like a pale ale than a saison. Fairly hoppy but not so bitter. Fairly dry. Nice without being outstanding
