Hazy golden pour, small white head. Great funk aroma, citrus, grassy, and funk. Active carb, solid mouthfeel. Great peppery, funk flavours. Grassy hops, lemons, grapefruit, medium bitter finish, super drinkable, a superb saison.

Hazy blond color. Delicate aroma, spicy, with a light herbal and musky character. Smooth and dry mouthfeel; spicy, good yeast activity, with a hint of coriander and sage; relatively strong bitterness; the final has a grassy trace.
Positively aggressive.

(draught at the brewpub, Sept 28 2012) Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a decent-sized fluffy white head that left lots of lace. Aroma conveys lots of both yeast and hops - there is a slightly white grape and gooseberry character, grass, herbs, lemon, wheat, yeast funk, amazing nose. Flavour is grassy, a bit of funky yeast, lemony bitterness, peppery spice, coriander and mild wheat grain. Finishes dry and spicy with hop bitterness. Mouthfeel quite full for a saison with active carbonation. Balanced, refreshing and very flavourful, great use of Nelson Sauvin in a saison!

A lightly hazed golden saison with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a smooth sweet malt with catty hops, incense, nice spices, very nice. In mouth, a nice spiced up saison with nice bittering herbs, fruity esters, nicely balanced. On tap at brewery, June 24 2012.

Golden and slightly hazy. Lots of coriander in the nose, along with orange and a hint of footy yeastiness. Complex, w lots of yeasty character and again a big coriander finish. Light melon fruitiness late. Good saison, just refreshing enough.

Just had this again last night and it was awesome. Tasted a bit of the Nelson Sauvin hops and the good farmhouse yeast. I rated a little low last time. Initial Rating Date: 4/14/2012 8:27:25 AM Smells like hay then picks up with a bit of a hay-like farm taste. Also has a bit of a wheat beer-like smell. It’s got a piquant taste with a clear light colour. Retains head for a while, good carbonation. If I had to pick the season I’d say autumn because there’s a note of rotting leaves here (not in a bad way). A great job on the style. On tap at Bellwood’s
