The first beer that was launched after the merging of Leroy (Boezinge) and Van Eecke (Watou).

Dit bier is één van onze meest recente aanwinsten. Deze Belgisch premium blonde dorstlesser van hoge gisting met nagisting op de fles valt vooral tijdens de zomer zeer in de smaak en is perfect als verfrisser op een zonovergoten terras tijdens een warme zomerdag.
Cuvée Watou heeft een aangename goudblonde kleur met een volle romige schuimkraag die volledig tot zijn recht komt door de spitse vorm van het glas. Bij het degusteren wordt eerst een zachte niet al te bittere fruitsmaak waargenomen, die overgaat in een lichte afdronk van citrus en sinaas. Door het parelen is dit bier extra verfrissend.

18 April 2018. Bottle at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, Ghent. Shared with Anke.
Pours clear golden, fizzing, with a big, foamy, white head; lacing. The aroma contains wheat, honey, yeast, straw, white table sugar, apricot, biscuit and, oddly, salted biscuit with a hint of smoked ham (dixit Anke). It tastes medium malty/fruity sweet, honey notes, and light to medium grassy bitter, bit yeasty & spicy; dry, yeasty, grassy yet sweetish finish. Medium body, slick to watery texture, soft carbonation. Strange, there's quite a lot going on in the aroma but the beer remains stereotypical and somewhat boring.

At Brussels Beer festival September 2017. On tap . Amber colour lasting cream head. ester belgian yeast aroma with some hop. Strong belgian blond. A little syrupy perhaps. Good bitter hop on the finish peppery black hop. Yes ok just a tad too syrupy obvious.

Flesje gekregen van Inoven, thuis gedronken met LiekevdV. Oranjekleueig, licht troebel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Aroma en smaak is fruitig. Nasmaak is snel weg.

Helder geel bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van citrus en hop. Best goed bier maar is ietwat waterig.

Flesje thuis gedronken. Robijnrood, licht troebel bier met stevige schuimkraag. Aroma en smaak is fruitig. Weinig nasmaak. Weinig boddy.

Draught (backlog). Yellowish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is sweet malts, spices, yeast, some fruit and mild alcohol as well. Flavour is very similar in a good baloance. Tasty, although a bit thin as for the palate.

F: off-white, not big, quick diminishing. C: gold to orange, light hazy. A: malt, citrus, dusty, tangerine, bread. T: malt, caramel, candy, white sugar, grassy, medium body, lower carbonation, I like it, quite good balanced, sample @ Poperinge Beerfestival 2016.

On tap at De Bonte Koe, Leiden. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, light spicy, ripe fruits, banana, bready malts. Flavour follows, very generic Belgian blond ale with too much alcohol for its flavour profile. Medium bodied at best. Not bad, but very forgettable.
