Cheers to Perkeo for what was billed as possibly the last bottle in existence. Muddy dark amber colour. The aroma was strong bourbon with underlying caramel malts. The palate was sweet. The malts were long and well-extracted. They also had a little earthiness to go with the caramel and this helped the beer survive an onslaught of vanilla notes. Suprisingly, I didn’t hate it, though my opinions were all over the map between aroma, flavour, finish, and balance.

Looked like a glass of Coke, but the nose gives off strong molasses and burnt raisins. The body is quite full for a lager beer and this is where the bourbon notes are very present combined with the raisins and molasses. The finish has a warming rich bourbon like kick to it that make it the perfect winter beer (Though I drank it in the middle of July!).
