Relativt pålitelige notater fra godt besøkt føradventsmøte i Jæren Fråholdslag. Vi nærmer oss slutten på kveldens agenda, og stemningen er både munter og lett eksaltert i det vi gyver løs på denne 0,33 flasken fra min importkoffert. Brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Saftig aroma og smak med mørke bær, mørke malter og hint av lynghonning. Fin bitterhet og utpreget mersmak.

thanks omhper! Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is nutty, some roasted tones with mild earth and toffee to it. Flavour is nutty, some roasted tones with mild toffee and some earthy and mild spiciness to it. Pleasantly balanced.

Bottled, from Armazém da Cerveja, Porto. Near black, beige head. Aroma of licorice and treacle. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Treacle, coffee, salmiak and licorice. Mid bitter finish.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 9C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch F032BP2 (BB: 05.12.2024) AROMA: upfront medium-low metallic note followed by medium roasted malt (coffee, dark chocolate). low background esters with a prune character. APPEARANCE: very dark amber to black color and opaque. slight ruby highlights. medium light brown head, creamy, with good retention for style. lace formation. TASTE: initial medium-high roasted malt with a dark coffee and nutty character. low metallic background note. medium-high to high bitterness from roasted malts and hops. finishes dry with and burnt character that persists. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with medium carbonation. faint alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a Baltic Porter with a bit excessive burnt character, rendering it similar to an oatmeal stout.
