Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, burgundy brown with a light brown head. Spicy, malty nose with overripe and dried dark fruits. Rich, malty body, licorice and dark, dried fruits. Complex esters but no real yeastiness. So rich and filling with very little bitterness. Severely underrated, this is a wonderful beer. 050123

Bottle, huge thanks HP, shared with mcberko. Muddy dark brown body, off-white head. Big aroma, eucalyptus-like minty aroma, rye and milk caramel, well hidden alcohol, actually quite nice. Lean body, raisiny, some rye undertones, slightly encircled by minerally touches, tobacco and alcohol, a light burn to remind you it's there, some jammy raisins. Lightly bitterish finish. I don't find it to be that bad really. The warmth is a bit too much on a summer day, but even outside of it it might be a bit much.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy bright ruby with a large beige head. Aroma brings out intense rye whiskey barrels, almost some cinnamon, dark dried fruits, and Belgian yeasty esters. Flavour is bitter, dry and gently estery -- there's lots of dried dark fruits, lots of sharp rye whiskey, and earthiness. Messy and harsh, but it's drinkable.
