Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with a mediumsized white foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some herbs, yeast, spices and mild earth. Flavour is very similar to the aroma, but has some candy and nectar sweetness to it as well.

Bottle at home. It pours lightly hazy amber with a small, bubbly white head. The nose is sweet, banana, light sulphur, grainy, barnyard and white sugar. The taste is sweet, toasty, grainy, musty, porridge, damp wood, spice, alcohol, vegetal notes and floral stuff with a dry, oddly spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Something feels not quite here. Weird vegetal and sulphur...... Far from good.

330ml bottle shared with jeevan, kinda glad he didn’t get the 750ml to be honest... Pours clear golden orange, thin white had, doesn’t last. Sweet aromas, light floral notes. Sweeter on the taste. Did my forefathers die for this? No. No they didn’t. Although some of them were involved in the conflict. That’s bye-the-bye. Goodbye-ee, We’ll meet again, etc. etc. Not a great boer, sorry, beer.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Light carbonation and lacing marks. Aroma of honey, earth and grain. Sweet flavour of copper, sweetcorn and honey. Strange sour hint on the finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Far too sweet - I couldn’t finish it. This bottle was 6.0% ABV.
