Bottle 330ml (Tuulensuu)
Dark brown color, good off-white head. Aroma has caramel, chocolate but same time also hints of HP sauce. Maybe from last season? I can’t see BB. Medium-bodied. Chocolate, oxizidation, toffee, cardboard. Not aged very well.

Explosive gushing to towering rustbrown head, leaving shards of lace over very cloudy foxy-red beer. Spicy, sweet, citrus, as oranges studded with cloves, staraniseed etc. Yeast and even cinnamon; gingerbread. Touch or lactic acid. Sweet-sourish, very perfumed, Lievevrouwkes soft sweets, rosewater, citrus still there but more vague than in the nose. Again gingerbread spices, Xmas decoration. Not really full bodied, medium slickness, fine & lively carbonation. I feared infection seen the gushing, but that seems OK. The obligatory Christmas perfumes are there, but not overwhelmingly. Still, it’s not really convincing, and not even fully balanced. Many thanks to M & L!

75 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Golden with a white head. Nose is very fruity, interesting, sweet apples & pears, honey, spices, sweet oak. Taste is bitter esters upfront, honey, bitter wood, zesty with fruity apples & pears. Thicker body. Very interesting & lovely brew.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a huge lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, brett, and caramel, leading to a dry fnish.

Bottle @ joes. Brown colour with some ruby effects, big beige head. Smells herbs, wood, malts, sweet, brown sugar, slightly roasty. Tastes mostly iron. Some raisins, sweet, brown sugar, red fruits - but these are hidden behind the big iron taste. Thin to medium body, quite a lot of carbo.

Muddy brown colour. Aroma of typical winter spices. Flavour is also spicy but has a metallic edge. Has an unpleasant harsh carbonation.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Very dark brown color, with giant head. There is a nice Belgian aroma, spicy, light milk and light caramel. The body is thinner than expected, there is some caramel flavor, with a very light fruity touch from the fermentation, and medium to low bitterness; some final oxidisation too.
The aroma was the best part of it.
