375ml bottle from Asahiya share by Kery. 10% A dark chocolatey brown with a big fruity barrel nose. Med-full bodied, nutty, oaky, sweet fruity, chocolate with subtle tequila in the finish. Exceptionally well balanced. A surprising stand out of the night and a favorite of many.

bottle. very dark brown, smooth brown head. raisins, figs, roasted malts, glue in the aroma. flavor is raisins, dates, roasted malts, faint tequila, faint sourish note, faint glue, the glue distracts, but other than that, this is a super well tasting belgian strong ale, lots of complex notes.

Bottle. A dense, beige head of finger-thick size forms over a dark brown to black body. Some lacings. The aroma has quite a lot of vanilla. Roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Some boozy hints. It’s a tad too boozy on the palate, full-bodied and warming, with a pleasant carbonation level. Chocolate, roasted malts and coffee, with both hoppy and roasted malts kind of bitterness. Lasting finish. Could perhaps be a bit more full bodied, but it’s sure a nice beer. 141213
