Pint at The Old Ship in Chiswick. A slight upgrade to the Young's Bitter with a bit more interest on the flavour and a touch of that soapiness that I do enjoy. It was however quite basic and not one to seek out in the future.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - mainly toffee. Some light dry biscuit. Taste - more of the same. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - old style beer but solid enough. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Special (Cask) on 22 Jan 2014 at 04:55 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: On tap at the Cask and Barrel. Appearance - amber with a red hue. Nice head. Nose - honey malt and something like iron for some reason. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - a solid citizen.

Clear amber pour, with a creamy white head that quickly dissipated. A nice malty caramel aroma, a little fruit and grassy hops. Some lacing; toasted malted caramel taste, a little fruit. A slightly oily feel in the mouth but a good spicy bitter finish.

Fra cask på Dog and Bull Croydon 27 Nov 15 som Wells Dog’s Baubles. Klar gyldenbrun. Filmskum. Svært så forsiktig maltaroma. Mild svakt fruktig smak - men domineres av malt. Vel søt.
