16 oz. can. Black pour, with a smaller, tan head. The nose is cacao nibs, harsh coffee, cardamom, and spruce. Sweet and malty, with a hard, resinous bitterness. Heavy body, sticky, and astringent. Pretty nice stout, if a bit abrasive. Warms up nicely, which brings out the barrel notes.

Barrel Aged- On Tap at the brewery/taproom black pour, thin ring of tan bubbles. Nice blend of old oak barrels, some notes of chocoalte and a touch of coffee. Well attenuated and clean. Dark roast is full but not harsh. Quite good.

Bottle at annual RIS tasting. Black pour with small ring of beige head. Roasty, elements of chocolate and coffee, plus plenty of warmth from the ABV. Boozy.
