350ml @ Matt's new place. Appearance: slightly blonde with a white head. Aroma: peppery, crispy. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: classic Belgian Saison, really good for the style.

350mL can, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out gentle spicy yeast, light white pepper, toasted grains, and gentle esters. Flavour is estery and spicy, with spicy saison yeast, light pepper, estery notes, and toasted grains. The esters aren't too prominent, but are too prominent for my liking. Not convincing as a proper saison, but at least it's not a sugary mess like many American attempts at traditional saisons. It's alright.

Can from Lawson. Lemony, spicy yeast nose, crisp malts. light, crackery malt flavor, lemony, Belgian yeast spiciness. Crisp and refreshing and light. Bitter, peppery finish. Good river beer.

The latest cheapie in this series: Yo Ho Boku Beer Kimi Beer Saison 4.5% Matte gold with a white dollop of foam and a soft herbal and lemon aroma. The medium hody has a relatively round carbonation but a crisp finish. The taste is lemongrass and soft white pepper with mild wheat maltiness. I heard this wasn’t so good but I think it’s a fine everyday saison for the summer season. I’ll probably grab another at Lawson’s later today...

Nice aroma, Muscat. Fruity. Taste is thin, quite bitter in a hoppy way, but not really any hop flavour. Alright but underwhelming.
