Celebrate with Wooden Leg IIIPA, Akasha's annual anniversary masterpiece. This massive West Coast-style triple IPA features Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial hops on a biscuity malt base. A dense melody of dank, piney resin intertwines with citrus and hints of pineapple and passion fruit. Crafted for big flavour and artful balance, it culminates in a lingering sweet-bitter finish, making each sip a layered and mouth-filling experience.

(Can) Pours hazy amber with small white head. Pleasant aroma of pineapple and citrus. Lovely mouthfeel. Full bodied with gentle fine carbonation. Great taste. Tangy and fresh at the start with a big hoppy bitter finish. There’s a backbone of rich sweetness behind the citrus and bitter giving a great balance. A hint of the alcohol at the end. Excellent.

Can, about 10 days old I think. Almost clear amber with a cream head that fades to a cm or so and never disappears. Aroma is suggestive rather than vibrant - grapefruit, pine, bread crust. Full bodied with enough carbonation to prevent it from being syrupy. Fairly sweet with resin, bitterness and only a little booze to keep the sweetness in check. A deep - almost majestic - breath of citrus runs though it - grapefruit, kumquats, oranges. Impressive.

Golden. Pine nose. Oily mouthfeel. Loads of caramel and honey paired with the resinous hops. A luscious sipper.

From a 375ml can on 15//2019 (ABV listed as 10.5 %). Pours a clear golden with a medium to biggish head. Has a surprisingly light, fruity nose with a few herbal notes. On the sip, it's big, sweet and syrupy - lots of caramel and sweet citrus, with a firm, quite resiny bitterness. It's a touch boozy but still pretty easy to quaff. Moderate carbonation. Has a few rough edges but pretty good.

375ml can into shaker. 10.5%. Hazy golden amber beer with light carbonation and a large foamy head. Nose has a lot of pepper and a little fruit. Full body, viscous and rich. Slightly effervescent in the mouth. Taste and finish start with caramel before an earthy herbal bitterness emerges. Late late lingering minty/caramel. Great beer, no sign of alcohol. Dangerously easy to drink.

On tap at Keg & Brew, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops and alcoholic notes. Flavour is intense as fuck, with resinous hops, lots of pine and sweet caramel. Well-balanced and not too brutal. Very good.
