Gebaseerd op een familierecept uit 1948, gebruikmakend van speciale Münchener en Vienna mout. Ivo Kaanen, de huidige brouwmeester, heeft het receptuur vertaald naar deze tijd. Het familie-gist zorgt voor een smaakvol en volmondig bier doch droog en fris in de afdronk met een spoortje zoet. Een blond bier met bravoure van 7,5%.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is mild fruity, dry and phenolic. Light yeasty and vague spiced. Mild bitter, phenolic and light fruity. Mild bitter and dry finish.

Draught @ The Herbergbrouwerij. Lightly unclear yellow color, fulll sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell malts, a bit hay, metal and lightly spicy. Taste malts, hay, lightly bitter, a hint of spices and again a bit metallic. Low to medium body and carbo.

Draugt at very small local festival. This beer tastes better from tap. Less carbo, quite refreshing, not too strong. Has a tiny weizener-sweetness to it. Quite okay.

Bottle @ home. Pale, slightly hazy yellow colour with a decent white head. Smells yeasty, malts, hoppy, grassy and herbs. Tastes refreshing, bitter, malty. Somehow reminds me of whisky. Good carbo, very warming and medium body.

Bottle shared. Pours almost clear golden with a medium off white head. Aroma of fruit, citrus, grains and a non-descript sharpness. Flavour is medium sweet and light to moderate bitter with a dry finish. Medium bodies with moderate carbonation.
