Bottle @ Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen.Medium amber color with a big off-white head. Aroma is hay, and very sourness. Flavor is heavy acidic, sour, fruit - strange flavor. No good to my taste ... [20070110] 4-4-4-3-9 Draught @ Huisbrouwerij t Pakhuis, Vlaamsekaai 76, Antwerpen, 2000 Belgium.Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly - fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, grass, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090226] 6-3-6-3-12

Had this on darught at the brewpub ’T Pakhuis, Antwerp, Belgium, 05-10-06. Red/brown in colour with medium off white head. Some spicey, toffee like aromas, taste also comes across like this with maltiness as well and hops. Good beer.

On tap at tPakhuis, Antwerp. Red/chestnut thin beige head. Boiled sweet, red fruit malt aroma. Some yeast and roasted caramel. Finish has more of the same with some good hops. Quite bitter on finish

(Bottle 100 cl) Light brown beer with a small, creamy head. Some caramel malt flavours, but not much sweetness or body in this and just a hint of late bitterness. Not exactly thrilling, comes close to a German Dunkel. Thanks to Peter’s mum for buying me this. 280598

(Draught) Hazelnut brown, creamy head, leaving lace; chestnut brown beer with amber shine. Diacetyl in the nose, lots of it, caramel. Taste: diacetyl and a markedly sourish taste, phenolic. Ye Gods, this stuff is infected! ON the premises, if you please. Metallic - and again a little caramel, toffee and German sourdough bread; metallic finish. Tartness from the acids, lactic acid probably, determine the MF. Some body, probably the caramel colouring, or am I too cynic? This is really inadmissible. A brewpub - even Brouwer vd Grote Markt didn’t stoop this low. BUT - GOOD NOTE !After being asked whether I liked the beer, and me speaking my mind, first the responsible, then the commercial director came to see me. They even started searching for a pH meter... I have solemny pledged to come back and rerate the beer on another occasion. Which I will.

A red-brown beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, roasted bread, and black currant and so is the flavor. It is served way too cold for my liking - it is hard to taste the beer, but according to the waiter all Belgium beer is served extremely cold? - not to my knowledge...
