19/V/15 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: VIII/2015 (2015-655) Thanks to Beerlover_Ben for getting me this bottle!
Clear orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very yeasty, malts, overripe fruits, some banana, bit off. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little fruity, banana, some alcohol, sweet, pretty spicy, banana, bitter. Aftertaste: hoppy, some alcohol, citrus, some exotic fruits, bitter and grassy finish.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems & Zoon. BBF 08/2015. Orange amber / solid egg-white head. Nose is overt white alcohol, esters, floral, medicinal lemon & light anise. Taste is white alcohol, grains, touch hospital alcohol, floral, anise, faint Chinese herbs, ginseng, bitter floral, medicinal citrus. Carbonation is high, airy, grain body. Interesting. Really reminds me of decent white alcohol, very interesting taste profile. Way better than expected for sure. There is a lot of boozy Belgians that remind me of grain alcohol, usually I do not like those but this one actually executes it well with anise, Chinese herbs, ginseng & floral alcohol notes. Fans of vodka may consider checking this one out. Bonus points for originality for sure.
